Urban Treasury started in April 2014 as a big dream in two tiny trailers located at the Georgetown Trailer Park Mall. Keeping it in the family, Urban Treasury was created by Kym George and her daughter-in-law Melissa Henry. We believe in shopping small and local. From vintage clothing to repurposed creations, every item is carefully selected or handmade.
Focusing on reclaimed wood; we create small furniture, wine racks and, home décor that is one of a kind and also great for the environment. We work closely with our clients and enjoy making custom pieces for your home. We also work with small businesses in Seattle creating custom wood pieces that suite their business aesthetics. Think wood, metal, rust, & art.....that is what we do.
Bring some living art to your home with some air plants, succulents, and tropical terrariums. Kym individually designs and creates each of them. Not only can you take a tiny living art piece home with you, she will also teach you how to care for it. Melissa's art is inspired by anatomy and nature with a great love for the human body. She takes a multi media approach to her art and uses natural wood, vintage paper, images from old medical text books and just the right amount of gold accents.
We sling vintage and have so much love for it that we devoted one trailer just to vintage clothing. Each item is carefully hand selected across the country. Melissa has been collecting vintage clothing for over 10 years, is always on the hunt. We have a wide selection of men & women vintage clothing ranging from western inspired wears to 60's-80's glam. By shopping vintage you avoid the negative environmental impacts of the clothing industry. Step into a 70's trailer and bring home some vintage magic!
